After multiple self-published digital only albums, Atlanta based artist KALTRUNNER joins the AA family with his first physical release titled “Dirteater II.” Over 30 minutes and 5 tracks, KALTRUNNER creates dense, slow-moving drones of multi-timbral harsh tones - never quite veering into chaos, but always brimming just beneath the surface.

About the Artist:

KALTRUNNER is the moniker of noise producer, Erik Russell. Experimenting with sounds using an analog setup of drones, oscillators, effects pedals and other similar instruments—his compositions intersect noise and ambient soundscapes that build walls of claustrophobic dissonance. Since 2017, he’s released a catalog of music that explores the feeling of being simultaneously heavy and weightless.
