From flame-throwing organs to DIY synths, Sam Battle AKA LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER is as much a mad scientist as he is a musician, taking the internet by storm with his wild inventions and eclectic personality. LMNC creates a wholly-unique hybrid of disjointed pop, fusing fuzzed-out bass with modular synth leads, fat analog drum machines, and sardonic British wit, creating an insanely catchy and dangerously danceable mix.

On “Look Mum No Mixtape,” Sam Battle does battle with conventional songwriting, adventurously bouncing between catchy choruses and sonic outbursts of synthesizer squelches effortlessly. Utilizing a literal wall of homemade modular synthesizers and drum machines in cacophonous combination, LMNC creates songs that are immediately memorable while remaining wildly experimental. A true renaissance man, Sam Battle doubles on vocal duties, lyrically tackling a mish-mash of topics ranging from social media to mass media to simulated worlds and beyond, sometimes via silliness and sarcasm but always intelligently insightful.

BIO:

Look Mum No Computer is an East Anglia based live electronic artist who takes his home made machines on the road to play loud music. Usually found in his studio cooking up a new instrument and writing new songs, he avoids computers like the plague (unless he’s got to send an email). He’s a multi disciplinary artist with exhibitions of his work under his belt as well as many live shows; from squat raves in Berlin to Warehouse setups in London. You might have seen some of his inventions floating around the internet, from organs made from 80's Furby toys, Bikes that have Synthesisers and drum machines built into them to 5000 Volt Jacobs ladder and Tesla coil Drum machines, all the way over to Flamethrower organs. LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER is a unique musician with a set of instruments that set him apart from his contemporaries.
